MENS WAXINGFrom Eyebrows to Ears to Nostrils. We'll make you look better, feel better and be better too!
WAXING FOR SCHOLARSWe highly recommend waxing from and early age (pre-teen) before the hormonal influences transform the hairs from Lanugo (fine) hairs to Terminal (thick) hairs.
TYPES OF BIKINI WAXING
Permanent Hair Removal:
Option 1: IPL Hair Removal
How the Ellipse treatment worksHair contains pigment (melanin) that absorbs the light and converts it into heat. The hair transmits this heat into the follicle, which is then destroyed and rendered unable to produce a new hair.
Treatment requirements & intervalsHair growth is cyclical, as hair follicles go through resting and growing phases. Only follicles in the growth phase contain hair and are destroyed by the heat. Resting hair follicles need to enter the growth phase before they can be effectively destroyed by the Ellipse treatment. That is why it is important to repeat the treatment at intervals until all follicles have been through the growth phase.
The length and growth cycles are effected by numerous factors such as body site, hair density, thickness, ethnic origin, hormonal status and age. Clinical studies have confirmed that at least 8-12 treatments are needed and that intervals between treatments are typically 1-3 months.
Safety and effectivenessClinical trials documenting Ellipse's safety and effectiveness are carried out by leading doctors prior to the release of the product. The results of these tests are then published in respected, refereed medical journals. They can be viewed on the Ellipse website at www.ellipse.org.
HAIR REMOVAL IS NOW ALSO IDEALLY SUITED FOR DARK SKIN.
Because dark skin has a higher content of epidermal melanin, it requires special protective measures to prevent unnecessary heating of the skin.
The new Ellipse applicator cuts off the shorter wavelengths that have high melanin absorption. The unique "Duel Mode Filtering" technology removes the longer wavelengths, which primarily are absorbed by the water within skin tissue.
Previously, hair removal was most well-suited to treat Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-IV. The new Ellipse applicator specifically targets Skin Types IV-VI. That means you can now use Ellipse to remove any unwanted hair safely and effectively in all skin types.
Option 2: ELECTROLYSIS
Electrolysis s a permanent hair removal treatment using a direct galvanic current via a needle to destroy the cells beneath the skin (where the hairs are being produced), to render them incapable of producing hairs from that follicle. Effective on any hair colour. Very few clinics still offer this, as it is a highly skilled treatment.
